Date (Ships Time)

What is the  current watch,

(freetext area)

A graphical display of watch/shift  progress

This page has 3 buttons at the bottom.

“Settings” will bring you to a page for adjusting:

- First Watch start time.

- Length in hours of each watch/shift

- No of watches/shifts

- Ships Time offset to GMT/UTC

- Names of Watch Leaders or all people on watch

- Chimer on / off

“Watches” will give you a list of watches and times for each watch / shift

“ScrnSaver” indicates that a screen saving display will pop up after 2 minutes, saving your screen from burn, but still allowing your phone to chime and you to see tine and watch number.

If pressed again it will change to “PwrSaver” causing the time to be updated only every 10seconds.  The ScreenSaver page will also change to a blank page.

If pressed again it will change to “Wake Up”.  This is the same as ScrnSaver, but every time it’s ready to chime it will flash up the main screen again for a minute, giving a visual indicator.

If pressed again it will change to “Scrn On”  (Not recommended for potential danger of screen-burn-in)  Handy if you have an old dedicated phone permanently on display in your wheelhouse or at your chart table.

If pressed again it will change to “Service” indicating that it will schedule chimes for when the app is in the background. After each chime it will give a visible message and this needs to be acknowledged by pressing “dismiss” within 2 hours, or the chiming will go astray. (Don’t hit “snooze” or you will get out of sequence chiming) To immediately stop scheduled background chiming,  change it to one of the other options. To keep the chiming in the background going you also need to open MarineChimer at least every 24 hours.
